Divine Monkey Philosophy

Homeopathy is a holistic system of healthcare that treats the whole person. Symptoms of illness represent the body's effort to express imbalance. When we treat these symptoms with western medication, we stop the body from expressing an underlying need and possibly drive disease further inward. Rather than treating symptoms and attempting to provide a standard single diagnosis, homeopathy supports the individual within the context of their life and attempts to restore a holistic sense of balance and wellness.

Homeopathy has proven effective in treating a wide assortment of chronic and acute problems, such as digestive problems, problems related to pregnancy and labor, migraines and chronic headaches, allergies, depression and anxiety, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, influenza, sleep disorders, menopause, skin disorders, and much more. But anyone - regardless of diagnosis - can benefit from homeopathic treatment, as homeopathy can increase an individual's overall strength and resistance, thus preventing future disease.

Divine Monkey Homeopathy follows the basic principle that true healing must come about swiftly, gently, and permanently. Sandi has experience with and is dedicated to treating people of varying ages, cultures, ethnicities, economic backgrounds, gender expressions and lifestyles.

Treating the patient, not the disease

Conventional medicine looks at a set of specific symptoms and ascribes a diagnosis. Medication that manages the main symptom is then often prescribed, and the person can get on with their life. Because the medication treats only the symptom, everyone with that particular symptom gets the same medication, and, very often, if the person goes off the medication, the symptom returns. This is because the illness is still present in the body. In general, conventional healthcare relies on symptom management, not true healing.

Homeopathy looks at all the symptoms someone presents as a whole. Symptoms are treated as the body's best way of speaking what is wrong or out of balance. A homeopath then administers a homeopathic remedy which wakes the body up, so to speak, and reminds it how to heal itself.
